OPPORTUNITIES AND TRAINING

Opportunities abound as the Caracol Park takes shape. Investment in the park will generate up to 65,000 jobs and another 65,000 jobs are expected to be generated in terms of ancillary industries and support services. It will stimulate growth in microenterprises, smallholder farming, food vending and financial services.

Awards have been made after open, competitive international bidding, for the construction of the park infrastructure and the onsite power plant. Additional opportunities, in the construction of housing, port infrastructure, electrification and ancillary services such as waste water treatment will become available and published widely for open bidding, including on this webpage.

The Caracol Park team as well as the anchor tenant Sae-A have emphasized the creation of local employment, which is reflected in the predominantly local hires for management trainee positions, security officers and construction activities.
